The grass isn’t always greener…

Is it?

Beyond having a roof over your head, money for food and bills, and the time to nurture your relationships and hobbies….

For most of us, happiness and good health is cheap!

Subsidise healthy food spend by cutting out the junk

Reduce your screen time, and replace it with some exercise

Find a creative hobby

Help others on a regular basis

Learn new things often

Be mindful

In Western society, when it comes to material possessions, provisions, facilities, technology etc…people have never had more than they have now.

Yet…depression and suicide is at an all time high these last couple of years.

Of course, there are exceptions to some people’s circumstances, and many are dealt a far more challenging hand than others, but clearly consumption is not correlated with fulfilment…

For the majority, in life, ‘less is often more’. You can’t ‘consume’ your way towards happiness and good health.

Don’t let the government, media, or your immediate circle of friends/ family/ colleagues try to convince you otherwise.

Cycling/ walking to work/ working from home more often.

Consuming less social media/ ‘news’.

Recycling/ reusing/ fixing/ sharing/ gifting.

Improving your health.

Smoking/ drinking less.

Moving/ exercising more.

Stepping away from technology more often.

None of this does much to bolster GDP (Or the pockets of the Food/ Pharma/ Energy/ Banking sectors).

That doesn’t mean it isn’t in YOUR best interests.

I’m approached by a lot of people in the HVACR/ Cooling sector who think a change of job is the answer to their problems.

Sometimes the grass really is greener on the other side.

Sometimes yours just needs a bit of watering!

Either way, here to help.
