Trust me - it’s not cheating!
Keeping an eye on your alternate career options is not the same as flirting outside of a committed relationship.
Ok, by now most of you are probably aware that if you’re any good at your job you have A LOT of options right now. It’s possibly a great time to jump ship (if you’re experiencing minimal progression/ dealing with mounting frustrations that is).
But, maybe you’re not necessarily that unhappy. You're nervous about jeopardising your current job and the relationships you’ve built over several years….
Stick your CV on any job board and you’ll get absolutely peppered with calls. 90% or more of them being either irrelevant, or from charlatans. Even those that talk the talk and allude to having a glimmer of credibility don’t necessarily have the ethics/ morals you’d be looking for in someone that is to be trusted with your CV…and in turn your career.
Open to work banners, while effective in some sectors, do come with some unfortunate stigma. Plus, if you are still employed you’ve now just announced to your current employer that you’ve already doused the metaphorical bridge in petrol and the launched match has just landed.
Keeping an eye on your alternate career options is not the same as flirting outside of a committed relationship.
It’s not cheating.
Whilst you do have a duty to earn the money you are paid, and ‘do right’ by your employer….this does not extend to sabotaging your own career and short changing yourself when it comes to progression opportunities.
If you’re interested to see what better options are out there for you, and don’t fancy waving your intentions around like a giant flag to the market (job boards/ green open to work banner), then drop me a discrete message.

CVs/ names are NEVER sent or discussed further without a candidate’s express permission, and we never set up interviews unless the end result is highly likely to be an offer that you’d readily accept.
So what’s the harm?
